Yes, Powerade needs to be refrigerated after opening. It is a high nutritional drink having high sugar content, enhanced electrolyte content and macro nutrients. These nutritious contents create the best platform for the microbes to grow which will spoil the drink later. Refrigerator keeps the temperature of the drink close to the normal preventing the microbes to grow and keeping the drink safe. Refrigerator thus keeps the drink useable.
